We have heard that some people only drink champagne when there is a #celebration. What a shame!
Of course, champagne is very often used as a way of welcoming guests into an event or into your house.
But as a special #wine, it is far more versatile in our opinion.
Have you thought of having champagne at breakfast? Yes of course you have. You can admit it. You're amongst friends here.
It's not bad at lunchtime either. Needless to say, most of us tend to consume champagne at dinner. We could go into a bit too much detail and talk about which level of sweetness of champagne matches with which meals, but for the moment we won’t.
Generally speaking, champagne is a good accompaniment for shellfish, seafood, caviar and light fish.
It's not a mistake to have dry champagne with chicken or steak.
(Do let us know about your favourite and different pairings with #champagne).
Remember only roughly 0.4 bottles of champagne are imported for each member of the adult population in Australia each year. Which we all know is hardly enough.
If you would like more than your fair share of champagne delivered to your door in Australia, let us help.
Should you need any more encouragement to enjoy champagne, we list below a few occasions over the next 12 months when you can enjoy some bubbles.
