It is not unknown for adults to have an Easter Egg or two, sometimes raiding their children’s stash.
Can these adults have a wine to accompany their chocolate obsession?
Of course, the answer is “Yes”.
Let us start with dark and bitter chocolate which is often suggested as being healthier than other chocolate due to its polyphenol content which has a reputation as an antioxidant and can also be found in wine. These bitter flavours can be matched with full body wines.
If you prefer, you can always try a Pinot Noir.
At the other end of the chocolate spectrum, if you like a rich sweet chocolate, I would recommend trying our Rose de Saignee Pink Champagne.
Ok, so you have a really sweet tooth, then you are going to have to go with our red dessert wine.
If you are lucky enough to be given white chocolate for Easter, we would suggest you choose from our range of Chardonnays to suit your own taste.
We have already mentioned Pinot Noir for matching with dark and bitter chocolate. The good thing about this wine at Easter time is it pairs excellently with lamb, chicken and duck. Now that is versatile.
