TASTING NOTE
 
An exemplary shiraz displaying all of the characteristics you would expect of old Shiraz vines from a Single Vineyard in the Barossa Valley. A limited reserve shiraz with each bottle uniquely numbered.
 
Deep in colour, the wine displays lifted cassis and ripe blueberry characters along with spice and pepper flavours. The oak is well integrated adding soft tannins and structure.
 
This wine pairs superbly with rich foods including venison and creamy pasta dishes. Drinks fantastically now and will continue to age well for 30+ years

VINEYARD
A single vineyard wine; the grapes are sourced from 66-year-old vines planted on a hilltop on the western side of Dorrian in the heart of the Barossa Valley. These old vines grow in shallow soil which ensures they are low yielding but have exceptional flavour concentration.
 
WINEMAKING
The grapes were hand-picked and small batch open fermented spending 22 months in oak hogsheads (80% American and 20% French).
