Deep red in colour with a fruity nose combining aromas of Napoleon cherry, redcurrant and blueberry supported by notes of black pepper and mint. It displays peppermint, wild strawberry and nutmeg flavours.

The palate is well-rounded, balanced with soft and silky tannins.

Grapes and Blend

60% Cabernet sauvignon – 40 % Merlot

Vinification

The grapes are selected by an optical sorting machine before they enter the winery and thenvinified in conical stainless steel vats with temperature control. A first fermentation at low temperature allows the preservation of the aromas of fresh fruit,before the grapes are pressed.

History

The old hunting lodge surrounded by vines was built in the 17th century and owes its name to the historic figure of Ogier de Gourgue who was an adviser to King Louis XIII, Treasurer ofFrance and Commissioner of Finances for Bordeaux. Overlooking the Garonne

hills, this charming estate now belongs to the Vincent family, since 2010.
